See Your Nonprofit Fundraising Ideas Come to Life with Data Analytics

Data is arguably the most vital asset of a nonprofit organization. Consider how much Internet, social media, and interactive data is being gathered by charities nowadays and you’ll instantly realize its value. Nonprofits use gathered data for a good number of reasons that serve their main goals: identifying which communication channels are most effective, creating nonprofit fundraising ideas, understanding how to facilitate events, and increasing recurring donations, among others.

nderstanding the areas where a nonprofit is most successful, how people respond to various channels, and a supporter’s ability and propensity to give will ultimately enable an organization to become much more successful, and therein lies the importance of analytics. Learn to use analytics properly and the fundraising ideas for nonprofit that you employ through channels like eBay Giving Works will have a greater chance of paying dividends for your organization.

Nonprofit Online Fundraising: Benefit from Fundraising Software

Many nonprofit online fundraising organizations know the importance of fundraising software. It not only helps them track donors and donations, but it also helps them create a targeted list of prospects and supporters, send appeals and mailings, and complete necessary reports. In an article posted on npEngage.com, Mary Beth Westmoreland states that software is one of the things that will “shape the nonprofit sector in 2014.”

Many organizations find that their fundraising software does not fulfill their expectations. Unfortunately, the problem is often not with the software, but in how an organization stores and uses the information in the system.

Charity Fundraising Ideas: How to Generate Compelling Photographs

In 2013, online fundraising efforts continued to assert their dominance in the nonprofit fundraising hierarchy. As more nonprofits utilize the Web to expand their presence and more donors embrace the advantages of making online donations, fundraising over the Internet is expected to become a bigger force in 2014.

This begs the question: What can you do to make your nonprofit stand out from the rest of the charitable organizations online vying for donors’ attention? Granted, there are plenty of online fundraising ideas that you should explore, but one idea worth investing a lot of time and effort in is promoting your organization through pictures.

Charity Fundraising Tip: Make Your Fundraising Appeal Reader-Centric

A critical yet often overlooked aspect of charity fundraising is the creation of a strong and well-articulated appeal, which requires a considerable amount of time and effort. One way to make an appeal attractive and effective is to make it reader-centric.

The need to make appeals as reader-centric and engaging as possible is why many fundraising professionals are required to have marketing qualifications and experience. After all, in its essence, fundraising is selling. If you hear anyone say that ‘charity sells itself’, you best not believe it.

Fundraising for Nonprofits, Lady Gaga and eBay build a Brave New World

We’ve seen our fair share of celebrity charity auctions here at eBay Giving Works. We pride ourselves with how easy we’ve made it for stars like Scarlett Johansson, Christina Aguilera, and Ke$ha to use our platform when fundraising for nonprofits and charities they support.

Following in their footsteps, another big name in the entertainment industry has been making waves on eBay Giving Works. Lady Gaga recently partnered with our website to hold fundraising for nonprofits, putting the wardrobe she wore for her much talked-about Harper’s Bazaar cover photo shoot on auction until February 28, 2014. The proceeds of the event will benefit her charity, the Born This Way Foundation.

Join the March of Dimes Nonprofit Fundraising to Win a Jeep Wrangler

EBay Giving Works is encouraging everyone to participate in a March of Dimes Sweepstakes for a chance to win a brand-new 2014 Jeep Wrangler, Unlimited Sahara Edition. This nonprofit fundraising contest, which opened at 12 midnight on February 7, 2014, will run until 11:59:59 PM on May 1, 2014. This means there is still time for you to join and win while helping the advocacy of March of Dimes. The group helps parents during difficult pregnancies and assists in research regarding the different problems that pose a threat to the health of babies.

There are three ways to earn sweepstakes entries. The first is by using the “Give-At-Checkout” option, which appears after shopping on eBay using your PayPal account during the promo period. Once you opt to donate a minimum of at least $1, you will be rewarded one entry in the sweepstakes. The second is by placing an online donation to March of Dimes through the “Donate Now” button, again, using your PayPal account.
